Sessions are one-hour consultations with a skilled volunteer. They’re perfect when you have a specific question or need expert advice on how to approach a challenge. Many nonprofits use Sessions to clarify their goals or outline next steps before launching a larger Project.

Projects, on the other hand, are multi-week engagements with a skilled volunteer to complete a focused, concrete deliverable—such as a new marketing plan, HR handbook, or updated website content. Projects typically last 2-12 weeks and take about 30 volunteer hours.
