Getting started with pro bono can be tough—we get it!
Sometimes the hardest part is knowing what support to ask for. That's why we've created a set of Projects and Session templates based on commonly requested areas of support. These templates give you a clear starting point, so you can describe your goals with confidence and connect with pro bono consultants who bring the right expertise.
Where to Find Templates
When you start a project or session request, look for the Quickstart (optional) section at the top of the form. Choose a template from the Use a template dropdown menu, then click Select Template. The template fills in your request form with suggested language and structure, so you never have to start from a blank page.
Here are a few examples:
How to Use Templates Effectively
Think of templates as a launchpad, not a final draft. They're meant to spark ideas and provide a framework, but your organization's needs are unique, so your request should reflect that.
Here's what we recommend:
Read through the template carefully.
Edit the content to reflect your specific goals, context, and voice.
Make it yours! The more tailored your request, the stronger your match with a pro bono consultant.
Need Something More Custom?
If none of the templates quite fit, you’ve still got options! Try the AI scoping support built into the request form. It guides you as you describe your goals in real time, even if you’re not sure where to start.
